My five year old loved riding her 02 red kitty cat in the field untill this year when her 9 yo cousin half tipped them both over on a 98 skidoo 500 fan cooled to up on a hill. Ever since then she wont ride the kitty cat or go with her cousin. I dont blame her. I just gotta get her back out there and she'll be all set. Id like to see her follow me on our groomer sled over to the store. (About a mile away) Isnt fun to spend quality time with your kids like this. Best feeling!

Dude AWSOME!!!!!!!!
We picked up a XC-120 for our 4 year old girl Morgan, I have been out a few times riding with her & she has been very impressive. Out last trip out was a 1/2mile trip through the woods down to my neighbors & then back with 2 hill climbs. On the way back & after the second hill climb she stopped in front of me & told me to follow her.... Sure enough off the trail she went through the trees boondocken her way to a trail we have not been on, Pops out on the trail headed back to the house & then jumped on another trail taking us back to the ridge on the Sturgeon River Valley behind our house. I was so proud of my baby girl riding like her daddy
One last hill climb for the day like she was a pro, She wanted to drop down into the valley & check one of our food plots for deer sign. Now I was a bit worried about this climb for her but she nailed it w/out problem. Damn I have a lot of fun with this squirt

Wow!
Bushman...she sounds like a natural like my son was. He got this minni-z for his third birthday. I can't imagine how many miles he put on it. He's 10 now an races moto X and has his own '07 Phazer. We rode 170 miles last thursday and 150 last friday up north. Sara still has no concept of leaning, slowing down in turns and things like that. Got to let her just have some fun first. Then we'll work on those things. Then maybe a short trail ride. We'll see!

Cool, I met a great guy on here by the name of Tod & he hooked up my little girl with a battery powered 4 wheeler when she was 2, She has rode the crap out of that thing on our trails & now the snowmobile is just the next step. I think I will have my hands full when she is 10

Check your hyfax ...
How old where your kids when you started them on the 120's?
Our daughter is 2 now, she keeps saying 'grandpa hasn't bought my snowmobile yet'
Grandpa says next season she will be old enough ...
She has had a little battery powered 4 wheeler since she was 1, but doesn't show any interest in it. I can't blame her, as it gets stuck on the littlest things.

How old
I think it says above.....Sara is 4 but she is really little. Ryan was three but he was a big kid and very advanced. He was riding a little bicycle with no training wheels at 2. The next year he got his minni-z. I guess what I'm saying is that it all depends on the kid! The earlier the better!

This is the first year on the sled for Miss Morgan
I used some sheet metal screws in the rear tires on the 4 wheeler for traction, Should of heard her tell mom....... Daddy made my 4-wheeler faster

I think the key is to let the kid decide. My son wouldn't get near his 120 when 3. All summer he kept asking about it, and when he could ride it. and such. It helps that it sits here in the shop at work, so he could sit on it, and pretend on it when he thought no one was watching. This winter at 4 he hopped right on it, and took off like a maniac. He has had a few unfortunate incounters, but he is learning. Maxdlx

My son started riding a kiddy cat on his 2nd birthday wasnt really strong enought to turn very good in the snow, at 6 he started to ride a Phazer II governed down, he is 9 now and all bets are off, we rode several times on some trail and I think he has done real well, BUT Mom is still concerned.
He thinks he going out west at 12 and wants to ride the Viper

You guys with the 120's need to check out www.recmotor.com . When the kids get bigger you can make the 120's run! Stock they are about 7 mph and now I have my daughters goin about 33 mph.

The guy we picked up our 120 from said it will do 30 MPH with a adult on the sled once the gov is set with a zip tie. I have Miss Morgans as slow as it will go right now & she keeps asking for more
My son just turned 7. He's in his second season riding an Indy 340. He started on a Viper 70 quad at 5 and promply mastered that, so the sled transition was a natural. Never did the 120cc sleds............
