I'd like to put an 1.25" track on my srx, but I'm addicted to studs for having the control I need to feel comfortable in certain situations. Anybody make this work somehow? Now this is a long time ago, but back around '93, I had an exciter 570 done up, and got a Kimpex 1" aggressor track, which you could put car studs in the tops of the lug holes for stability on icy roads. Two of my friends tried different lenghts of the screw in studs in the tops of their lugs, and they both threw them. Is there a track in existance today that can still do this, or won't it hold up to the SRX's power? (I'm going big bore this year!) Thanks, and sorry... I know a recent post talked around this a little.
its the same as the other proaction sleds, you will need to go to 8 tooth drivers and then gear it back up.

Does going to the 8 tooth drivers slow you down? I tried that on a big bore exciter years ago to run the hooker plates under the slide rail area, and I had some trouble with ratcheting. Anybody here ever try the 8 tooth drivers on the SRX? Maybe that's the ticket! Thanks!
8 tooth divers will gear you down quite a bit,,,so yes slower top end but accellerate harder but top off quick,,,extroverts would be the hot ticket if you run a open window track....

I know about the gearing, which doesn't bother me. I just thought somebody mentioned that by using the smaller diameter drivers you loose some hp by having to turn a sharper raius. Just wondered if it was less effiecient?
dont loose hp, but because of the ratio you change your top speed.
