I have never clipped my own track nor have I seen it done. I got a used tool from here and there are no instructions.
Does it look like I have the tool right in the pictures?
Also, i am clipping a Yoko .75 track. My dealer said the same clips I use on my 1.25 Predator will fit this track. After looking at it and comparing the tracks I am not sure this is true. Look at the attached picture of the difference in the stock clip compared to the new one. Thanks.
Added a new picture at the bottom. Does that look correct?

looks to me like you have the tool backwards, the side with the curves should be on the outside.

Clips should work if they are the same length. You are definitely using the tool backwards! I just did an entire Cat track and had to pre-bend most of the clips a little in a vise so the tool would fit around them. Also, make sure to keep the threads on the tool well greased. Take your time and make sure the tool catches the clip even on both sides.
