I'm getting my hands on a 136 skid off a 2000 ZL with fox shocks for $150 (good deal right?) and planning on putting it on a 2000 sx 600 that has a 136 allready and viper shocks all the way around. I'm thinking the proaction put it on a 1990 phazer II with an 1.25 track. Here is a few questions I need answered to get me going:
I've seen a few post about the cat skid, is not that tuff to relocate right...? I can get the mounting points from the guy...How do I measure...?
And also do you guys think the 136 proaction is gonna be to heavy for the phazer...? with PSI pipe, flatslides, K&N filters and some clutch work....So i guess hp wise is better ...I'm trying to say is not stock besides I might get a port job for it this coming summer then it will go.
Should I do something to the front end of the phazer...? Will it be to low...Anybody put a proaction in it...?
Thanks as always guys...
This is a summer project anyways but I like to hear opinions before tear all apart

Nobody....? Anybody...?
Dont quoate me, but I would beleive that the 136 cat has the same mounting points as a 121. Its a crossover, not a mountain, so it probably isnt lowered for deep powder.
That said, you could probably use my mounting locations. Just copy the link below(in my signature) and paste it in your browser.
As for the Phazer, I think you will be ok as far as power. Your not planning to take it to the mountains, right?? Mounting locations may get a little tricky. You will want to lower the rear of the skid to keep the geomotry to the ski's balanced, unless you find a way to longtravel the front to match the taller rear skid.

Thanks for the Reply Sno-xr. The cat skid just came off a ZL So I think your measurments would do, how tuff was it...?
Regarding the phazer no I'm not planning on going to the mountains I just figure it will rock with the 136 I have on my sx now...and I'm still thinking on how to mount this one.....

Mounting was not that tough, although the Cat skid is a touch wider then the Pro-action so I had to take a little off the front mount of the Cat skid, about a 1/4" on each side.
The rear of your tunnel will flex enough to accommidate the rear of the skid.
Good luck, Sno-Xr

What size track are you running on it, and also did you just re thread the cat skid after you cut off 1/4 inch on each side...?

going to give u some real good advise the phazer is a great sled, but ur only going to go so fast with that sled its only a 60 hp sled. doing all the mods if u do ur self is ok but to pay some one else to do it ur better offbuying a 500 liquid cooled in that body styll trailing arm . if u keep it then this summer get ur pistons and head swan teced that is teflon coated it cuts the friction and heat in ur engine and prevents cold seizure . look in a sled magazine snow tec they addvertise all the time swan tec, the fan cooleds need all the help they can get to stay away from heat, Al Larson
1 1/4 ripsaw and as for re-threading, it wasnt necessary. The front mount is a bolt through a bushing.Nicko said:What size track are you running on it, and also did you just re thread the cat skid after you cut off 1/4 inch on each side...?
