All,
I have a '74 TL433F that I am in the process of tearing apart for a rebuild.
I need to find out what the paint code is for the white paint used on this sled. also, does anyone have a contact for a person or business that can recreate the reflective decals for this sled. I would like to put all new decals on the sled but I cannot find a Yamaha dealer that is able to order them.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Oh yeah, same thing goes for the '74 GPX 433 that my dad is restoring.
Thanks,
Mills

Check out this site for decals. http://www.oldsleddecals.com/
I'd just take your hood to a good Dupont or PPG Paint jobber and have them put their "Camera" on it. It will give them a paint formula to match your hood or any sample.

I usually just go Napa and ask to look at their paint books. Just match up a good piece with a paint chip. I've had great results every time.

Hi Mills.........Any SL , GP should have the correct hood
decals....I expect if you phone a few companies , you
will find they have computer scans to work from for the
other models ....
Any decal place can do the TL433F ..just by size and font.
PAINT ??? I have a number of Canadian Tire cans at home
but forget which is close enough ..(must be 25 diff whites).
I just use the ones that didn't match as undercoats and under
seat and under tunnel to use them up...Yes , I remember you
don't live in Canada ....If you are going to blow it on ,then I
agree about taking your hood and tunnel with you...You will
never get as good a job as the orig on hood .....GPX are same
colour hood , somebody here must have painted them....and
use the same on tunnel ...

The name of my yamaha color is 'Arctic White', it's a GM color by Dupont. If I have an old can laying around I can get the number.
