I have a 99 v-max 700 and have a nasty overheating problem, I changed the o-ring on the pump housing,the impeller the seal behind it, blew out the system, new rad cap a new bleeding system off the housing and the head gaskets still overheats @ slow speeds doesn't over at high speeds.

are you sure you got all the air out of it?does the engine seam to run normal?

What about the gear on the shaft of the water pump? Yea it sucks cuz im pretty sure you will have to split the cases and remove the bottom one to check it out....Do your coolant lines feel hard like theres pressure in them when the sled is just at a idle?
