Going to look at a Viper, tips wanted.

Im gonna take a look at an 02 Viper ER sometime next weekend. Guy wants 2600 cash, but He'd take my 03 Yamaha Warrior 350 in trade and 300. What should I look for? any problems with this sled? suspension? what should the compression be around? any cylinder thats low from factory for some reason? good deal?

I doubt I will have the sled very long, Im looking to go "up" in the retail area and want to trade this sled back for another quad, but I just don't want this to be a lemon that I can't get rid of.

how many miles does it have on it

look at the W arm, see if it is cracked or has been welded. the condition and the amount of miles on it would justify if it is a good deal or not.
