I want to put a bigger(340) motor in my 1978 et250, is the exciter 340, the same as a enticer 340 motor?

No, they are different. The EX340 engine is basicly the same as the EX440 engine. The ET engines are a different family.

How does the enticer 340, compare power wise to the ex340 motor?
Could I bolt in a ex340 motor, in the enticer body? thanks

EX 340 has about 8 more hp. The bottom ends are the same as the 440 but the cyls don't use reed valves. The porting is roughly close to the GPX 338 so GPX parts will work. You need to use the EX 340 exhaust or GPX 338 pipes. You can't fit those pipes in an Enticer chassis.
I have a 1978 enticer 340 at home with electric start. It is the same body style as the et250. main difference from the 1980 et250 is the location of the gas tank. On the 250 the tank is under the hood while the 340 has it infront of the seat. I think that you would nee to put this style of tank in to be able to fit the 340 motor in the chassis. If you do get it to fit though you should be able to use the 78 340 pipe for the exhaust.

If you can find a 300 chasis, its virtually identical to the 250, and set up for a twin already. I believe a 340 will drop right in...

Ya I have been looking for a 340 enticer, complete. Probably the best way to go.BuckSwashler said:If you can find a 300 chasis, its virtually identical to the 250, and set up for a twin already. I believe a 340 will drop right in...

ET 340 has a tunnel, suspension and seat pretty much like an Exciter.
ET 250 has a shorter tunnel, different suspension and is about 4-5 inches shorter.
250 and 300 are the same chassis. 300 and 340 are the same engine with different cylinder sizes so you should be able to fit a 340 twin in a 250 body.

Nothing radical could possibly go with a mikuni carb also.
