How do I make it a link??

I copied a shortcut to a thread I started and pasted it in my Signature, but it doesnt show up as a link. How do I make it show as a link and how do I give the link a different name. For example; "Cat Skid Install Link" for www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25539
See, it shows up in my post, but not in my Signature!!!!! #$%&*

When you go to your signature edit, click on insert hyperlink logo(looks like a globe). Enter the text to display in the first box and the link in the second box. Works the same as posting in a forum.
