I know it's a bitch, but you have to learn. My first time was nuts, second time easier. Most problem I had was getting the bearing off the speedo end.Chain casing side can be rough to,but patience prevails. My bearing was seized and had to slowly dremel it off. There should be a write up on this in the tech section.

I Do Not Dremel It Off , I Am Sure Its Good Two , Here Is What I Do When The Bearing Is Being A Privck...... Grind The 2 Rivets Off The Triple Studded Plate And With A Rubber Mallet With The Nuts Threadded On A Bit , Push The Plate Thru And Then You Can Work On The Bearing On The Bench ,,, So Much Easier , When You Re- Install Just Put 2 New Rivets , From Either Side , It Does Not Matter ,...it Could Be The Last Thing You Do As You Have Already Bolted Both Plates Together ...

Like the man said take it apart - there is a learning curve - do one and it'll be easier next time. If the pto bearing gives you trouble take a chisel and hammer and remove them rivet head from inside the tunnel and you will be able to get the bearing free.
Also - remove the parking brake pads and loosen the chain case up as well. You do not need to remove it. Good Luck.

Hey I did that, and that made it easy to get the shaft out,but my bearing wouldn't move.Took it to another TY members place and he tried with a puller. He broke a hex socket on the set screws to.Wouldn't budge. So took it home and slowly dremeled the bearing in half and it fell off.Smoothed the shaft with emery cloth until it was shiny again, taking off any rough spots untill the new bearing could slide back on.
