"Does anyone happen to have a wiring schematic for a 2000 700 SRX? I need to troubleshoot an electrical problem.
The tach stopped working. I noticed though that when I change the headlights from High Beam to Low Beam, the tach starts working again, but i don't think it's working correctly.
The sled seems slower too since the tach stopped working..????
If anyone has a diagram of the wiring system they could send me, or an idea what is causing the problem, please let me.
Thanks in advance"

PROBLEM IS WIRING HARNENSS RUB THROUGH. THIS WAS A YAMAHA UPDATE. ANOTHER WORDS PROBLEM WAS SUPOSED TO BE SOLVED ON THE 01 SRX. JUST HAD SAME PROBLEM ON MINE. THIS PROBLEM IS WIRING HARNESS IS PUSHED AGAINST FRAME USUALLY UNDER COOLANT LINE. WIRES GET EXPOSED ARE GROUNDED OUT AGAINST FRAME SENDING SYSTEM IN A FRENZY. MY WIRES WERE SMASHED, AND I DID FINE A RUB THROUGH UP BY HANDLE BARS. HIS BEST BET IS TO GET SERVICE MANUAL. 3:16 (yammie tony)
