Oil has nothing to do with it. I ran the expensive Amsoil and my PV's were nasty and gummed up just like they were when using Yamalube. Carbon is Carbon and two strokes make/produce carbon when burning oil. PV's need to be cleaned often or you will have issues regardless of the type of oil used.

I respectfully disagree. If you were using Amsoil's racing oil (the expensive stuff), you were using the wrong oil. Says so on the bottle. While I think A/F ratio has more to do with it, I've seen big enough differences between oils to suggest there are differences. JMHO.

What does it say on the bottle? Are you saying Dominator oil is no good for powervalved motors, cause the oil manufacture would disagree with that statement.

been discussed before..

Dominator can be used BUT.... it's real application is for "on the edge" racing apps.,high performance motors, particularly those that are modified, operate hotter and at higher RPMs than recreational motors.

Boys we have the product SeaFoam here in Ontario...NAPA UAP sells it...red/white/black can...you hear a lot of talk on how good it is...well I can tell its great stuff...my Dads 01 caddy had a little noise in the lifters & I added 1/2 the bottle to the oil & the other half to the fuel...never heard the noise again...I add 2 oz. to my sleds oil tank & 2 oz. to my fuel on a long trip & wow what a difference in performance...yeah, yeah, I really think this is great stuff...I pulled my valves out just to have a peak at them & the are about 50% cleaner then any other time I pulled them to clean them...& the carbon is softer, making it much easier...

Read up on it...cheers

Blues I would have to agree with you on the seafoam....I use it quite often to winterize my small engines....I have had gumming issues with stabil and never with seafoam...I will also run one tank in my bike and sled at the very being of the year and I have never opened the carbs on my bike, furthermore I never have had anything in the carbs on my snowmobiles either. Great stuff. I have never used it in my oil though. I might give it a try when it gets a little lower.

Guys.....I have been running yamalube (I know I should use synthetic) I just took a look at my powervalves because of the pics in this post and they look great!!!! I have about 1000 miles on this year and no issues and my jetting is factory(PIG RICH) I do clean them EVERY YEAR Though!!!!!!FYI
