Well the SRX is at just over 7000kms, so if i keep it id rebuild it thus causing me a dilemma, next year i want an honest 165hp. Now my options are either Hauck 800 Big Bore the SRX, Send the SRX to Don, Buy a 2006 apex RTX add some mild bolt ons, or jump back to cat for a F7 then bore it to 800cc add a set of twins and pump 170 range for hp. or a crossfire 1000....at this point im just indecisive and cant figure out what i want to do nor what is my best bet.

Any Suggestions / Opinions...

You know what I am going to say...

don't go to a cat, whatever you do.;)

That said, I think you can build up the SRX to meet your needs (or more)and spend a lot less than replacing it with a different sled. That's what I would do.

What's with all the need for speed(HP)??,freshen up the ol X and runner!!!!!!

i couldn't imagine needing more then 138- 145 HP for trail/lake riding,thats
a fast sled IMO..

I ride trails but absolutely love to race, gonna try and get out to as many 660-1000' events as i can next year, i like when i come out of a corner, she hooks up and your damn near stretching your arms.... i dont want a high speed flyer, rather something that rediculously fast 0-100mph....

Ive taken out alot of big sleds with the SRX, anything from ZR900s, to Thundercats to 800 Rev's... i want to be able to pull up beside a machz and leave 'em thinking "THAT WAS A 700!!??" haha

-Ive heard of the 900 kit, its over 190 if i recall thats some big coin though.... 800 kit is 165-190 says hauck..

And there is nothing wrong with a cat, ive come from cat and we still own a couple cats there great sleds, no difference in reliability or whatnot.

I would send it to don!!! Thats my vote. You get the best out of the srx that way....If you really want to scream, I would be on a turboed apex...that way you can laugh at what ever you pull up to!!!!My 2 cents!!!!!

Sounds like an Apex RTX would be a great sled for you. Over a 5 year period it is probably the cheapest way to go too. If you want a little more power at times nitrous works great. If you want a lot more power all the time, the supercharger is great. Even with $4K for a supercharger you can still come out ahead if you ride it for 15,000 miles or more.

The Nytro is worth considering too.

I really like the apex for that its a long term sled, im just worried about the weight, i play in drifts and jump a little bit nothing huge but im wondering how the apex will handle that...

Initially thats what i wanted to do get a RTX, then next year turbo it but hell turbo and superchargers are OUTRAGEOUS for sleds, i can buy a full turbonetics turbo and intercooler kit for my car for $3500, sleds are like $5000 and up...

I have put 300 miles on a er and I loved it. They are smooth and tons of power. But if you like to jump, don't buy anything but a rtx. As far as turbos are conserned...your power to weight ratio is insaine thats why they cost what they do. 240hp it shouldn't be cheap.

If you haven't been on a new nytro...that might be the sled for you!!!!!! They pull like a raped ape till about 90 on the dreamo...I can hang ski's at 40. The draw back is the top speed is only high 90's on gps maybe a little over 100 if your lucky and tuned good. There is an unreal amount of suspension.(too much to play with) But they cost a lot.

I know the turbos look like a ton of fun im saying in relation to cars there really expensive...

I like the Nytro RTX in blue and white but the subframe issues scare me from them....
