hi guys

the ol faithfull 600 finaly decided to blow after 22 000 kms and i in the process of finding a 700cc red top engine (sxr engine) so is there anything i need to worry about...im getting an engine, cdi and the carbs...is my cluth going to handle the power increase? ( i want tripple pipes also ) how should i clutch it?

If you are putting pipes on it the clutching will vary depending on what pipes you end up putting on. They all make their power at a little different rpm.

I think you may want to go up at least one tooth on the upper sprocket. With 600 gearing with a 700 stock motor you would have great acceleration and decent top end, but adding pipes on top of that I think you'd run out of gear pretty quick. Just something to ask around about, I never actually have had any experience with a 700 on 600 gearing.
