i have a npv red head and i can not seem to pull the stator do i need to rig something up or do i need a special tool, any help would be great

Go down to your local auto parts store and buy yourself a a puller for pulleys and dampers. You will need a three hole puller.Make sure you get the correct metric bolts for the stator also.
All I've ever used to pull the mag off my SRX is a harmonic balancer puller with the right metric bolts to fit the flywheel holes (3 ) and once that's off there's just the three philips head bolts holding the stator itself in.Yours should be the same.

If you have never pulled the stator before, you may want to get yourself an impact screwdriver to get the screws out as they are in there VERY tight from the factory and can strip out easily.
