hey tony i know youve had your fair share of srx's iv'e got an 81 and it goes like hell ( kinda like a cat that was set on fire) if ya could picture that. anyway how is this motor comparable to the earlier 440''s other than the 77's.i ask because im thinking about trying to find an 80 for project i like the colors of the 80.so im partial to that model would i be dissapointed compared to my 81 or no it would be to show and do a little feild and trail blasting once and awhile around home.thank's for your time. ANDY, GREAT POST. ALOT HAS BEEN POSTED HERE ABOUT THE 81 SRX. TO COMPARE THEM TO LETS SAY THE 78-79-80 SRX IS PRETTY HARD IN MY OPINION. THE 81 SRX HAD MORE HP, BUT WAS ALSO HEAVIER, AND OF CORSE REALLY WAS NOT CONSIDERED A GOOD SLED ( many problems). THE 78-79-80 SRX,s WERE CONSIDERED GREAT SLEDS. I DON,T THINK YOU BE DISAPOINTED AT ALL WITH A 1980 SRX. I LIKE YOUR VMAX83. I PICKING ONE OF THOSE UP VERY SOON. 3:16 (yammie tony)
