hey
i just won a bender racing single pipe from ebay! it is the 4X4 pipe from bender racing for a sxviper. anyone ever try this pipe? i know that it adds hp and is lighter than the stock one. how much hp does it add and how many pounds does it loose? also, did anyone find a difference with this pipe on? would this pipe work with my stock exhaust and mbrp race silencer? any comments would be great!
Thanks

i have a bender 4x4 pipe w/the bender silencer. i'm not sure how it would work w/a mbrp can. i know it can be used with the stock silencer. i didn't notice much of a hp gain but it makes the sled louder and with the bender can about 14lbs lighter. i'm happy with it. i've put about 5,000 miles on the pipe/can combo w/zero problems. i didn't touch my jetting, just put on and go. it runs a little lean at an idle but that is fine b/c they are rich from the factory. i'm happy with it, just a little too loud now that the can is burnt out.

I have one,I had it ceramic coated and I think it runs better now than when it was just painted. Not much power difference but alot lighter with the combo of the pipe and silencer,a sounds better IMO.

Weight loss is the biggest gain your going to see. Pair it up with a can and as mentioned you save about 14 lbs. or so. Sounds nice with the QST silencer. Power gain? Bender claims 4hp but, we all know how that goes! Our S runs fine with it on stock jetting.

I'm hoping if mine comes back from ceramic coating..I'll have it on this weekend...
I'm also looking for a weight loss..but if a little power comes...I'll take it...
I've heard mixed reviews on the Bender...some(75%) say its a waste of money...but I also heard if you put the aluminum gaurd on...or cermamic coatin on it...it will do what it should do HP wise..we'll see...
good luck...

Bender 4x4 = add 4hp and drop 4lbs. The can is where the bulk of the weight comes off. It should fit with the mbrp, but performance wise...who knows. When I added mine I noticed much better throttle response and I rev up to about 9000rpm now, I was at 8700-8800 before. Overall I am happy with the setup, sounds good while not being obnoxiously loud.
