It finally snowed enough around here, I got a chance to run the viper hard for the first time since I rebuilt it. I put about 37 hard ditchbanging miles on it, and it RIPS!! Dropping the skid and adding the handlebar riser make it feel like a completely different sled, much better. The plugs are chocolate colored...maybe a bit rich with the stock jetting but ok. Engagement is at 3800 and on a launch it revs to about 83-8400 rpm. The hanging idle is gone, idles smoothly at about 1700. Everything looks good at this point.
I'd like to thank everyone on here that helped me out with the rebuild, parts, questions, etc...I couldn't have done it without the help of this site. There isn't a better place than this for yamaha tech help. I really appreciate it guys!
