ele. start / reverse add ons

Well, IIRC, yamahas were always the most expensive to put reverse on compared to the other 3 brands.

what I remember was the reverse was ~$500 from the dealer as an add on to a brand new 2000 SXR700 (i almost bought one instead of the XCSP).
I expect to pay 50% of new for good used parts. I would expect the same for electric start, although I have no clue what e start ran new.

FWIW, it cost 250 for reverse installed on my XC from the dealer before I took delivery.

ele. start/reverse add ons

I bought an S earlier this Winter for $3500 and have not regretted it (except not Blue). It had a little over 1500 mi. and the end of a 3 year warranty I used. That paid for a broken rear axle and lost idler. I sold my mint 02 Viper w/add on reverse and 4200mi. for $3200. I feel like I'm on a whole snake on the 04 Viper S! I would buy another used 04 in good shape, over a new ER any day ( unless you dump more money into upgrades...) Those are my thoughts....

Can you give me some examples of what makes the viper s so much better then the viper er in your opinion?
