Hey guys... been playing around with my 02 Viper and want to do something different to it, love the power and looks, but like everyone else I wish it had a more modern suspension. I got a line on an 05 SkiDoo Renegade skid and track and am wondering if it is a possible swap. I know I'd need to make new mounting brackets so I am planning on doing some measurements on the sled I am gettin the skid from, what should I be looking for as far as measurements other than drive shaft to mounting hole distance? Maybe before I ask that will the 16" wide track fit into my tunnel? I remember reading a couple posts that mention people just having to reverse a few rivets and shaving the chaincase bolts a little, will these ideas apply to my Viper? I measured my tunnel and I got somewhere between 16.5" and 16.625" for width so it'd definitely be tight.

Any help/input is greatly appreciated, I dont have many riding buddies that have much insight to mod'ing questions other than 'buy it and try it'

Also, if you think this swap isnt worth the time and energy, would you mind suggesting a skid swap? I want to stretch out to 136 without rail extensions and would like to stay away from the M10 because I have heard those are primarily for hard aggressive riding... I do mostly trail riding with 2' moguls but love to get off the trail and hit some good hills and drifts.

Again, any help is appreciated, love the site
