Found this trailing arm.. what do you think?

Hmm a designed "crush zone", these guys must be in the automotive industry.

I kinda like it.

me too! The only thing that confuses me is if it designed to crush in a direct/side impact.. Then how does it not crush when the suspensions moves up and down in normal travel?

in the suspention travel there should be non or very little force in the horizontal plane. if there was alot the any trailing arm would crush every time it went up and down. the traling arm just acts as a pivot point to make the rest of the suspention to pivot around. when u bend a trailing arm its usaly cause u put force in the horizontal directing IE cathcing a rock with ur radius rods or the carbide beeing bent and catching somthing.

I'm not trying to hijack your thread but did you run across any sites that sell replacement W-Arms (or H-Arms)? Hartman shows a Fabcraft H-Arm, but I don't know if you can buy just the H-Arm or if you have to buy the whole rear kit to get it. Mountain Performance shows one too but it's part of a kit and not what I'm looking for. I just thought maybe you'd seen something while looking around for these. Thanks.

No not yet. I actually was looking for that on this site as well. They only have one for skidoo.

my buddy has Alternative Impacts on his Poo. Nice quality and simple design. The aluminum section is more apt to break than it is to crush. The ends are milled down on the inside. He hit a stump pretty good on one of our 1sr rides this year and one broke as it's supposed to. I'd recommend getting the removal tool as well......made the repair quick right in the field. If I didn't already have my MPI arms, I'd probably have these.

Nice but!!!

No sway bar mount. Obviously more for mountain guys than us "flatlanders" here in New York. I like my sway bar.
