Had a nice cold morning in upstate NY today and decided to do some plug readings out on the lake. 02 SLP piped Viper jetted to SLP specs. Checked plugs ay 1/8 - 1/4 - 1/2 - 3/4 - and WOT. All readings were perfect except 1/8 + 1/4 where the plugs were wet. Sled runs great at mid throttle and above. Although it has a little burble at low RPM's (below 5500/6000 ) Was thinking of moving one washer on the needles to clean it up. What do you guys think ??? I did this on my Bender piped Viper and it is really snappy on the low end now.... Thanks ! Howie

SLP specs are #4 on clip at sea level and #3 at 3-5000 ft. I run at about 2500 ft. Went to 3-1/2 clip last season and went to #3 clip this weekend. Really cleaned up the mid-range.. Was just wondering how much difference moving 1-washer makes. Thanks Howie

I personally wouldn't mess with the mid range unless you are going to be on top of things when weather changes. Alot of guys burn down in the mid range I personally run mine alittle rich so I don't have to worry about it. I might not be the fastest but it runs pretty good without worries, in my group I'm right there and I didn't go kaboom like they did this year. There scratching there heads because this is the second time for both of them and my yammi is still purring like a kitten. I gave it to my son and he thinks it flys and it does. Leave it unless it fouls plugs because it will last a hell of alot longer unless you want to be towed.I'm the tow vehicle for now slp pipes 5,500 miles now a total of 7,000 on sled still going strong and not touched.

Well, I have been fouling plugs regularly , actually every weekend till I moved them to 3-1/2. Now it fouls them every 2nd or 3rd weekend. Hopefully now that i've moved them to #3 I will solve the problem. Runs really smooth in the mid-range now. Super responsive off the corners where before it used to burble and then clear up. Thanks, Howie
