Hi folks, I have a 1987 340cc Excel III.
Sadly I let it sit unused for 8 years but recently got it going again.
I plan to restore it as a summer project.
They are great little sleds I had forgotten how much fun they are until i got on th snow again.
I have a few questions for anyone with similar Excels or Enticers.
It needs a new track, can i fit a longer skid and more grippy track from another model?
It has very little traction with the old track, if i stop on a hill it sinks on take off, I also plan to add ski-skins to see if that helps.
Does anyone make a seat-cover for them?
anyone with similar models please post pics.
Thanks for any help.

Trailman,
A friend of mine here at work has two Excel III sleds for sale along with the trailer they are on. One is an '86 the other is an '87. He wants $600 U.S. for everything and is located in Minneapolis. Let me know if you might be interested.

I would thanks but it's to far away, sounds like a good deal.
I plan to fix mine both for sentimental reasons as it was the first sled i owned plus my kids will use it next year.
Another one would be good too, they also made these in long track but they are harder to find now, I know of at least 3 others in this local area all short tracks.
