Ok guys, here it is . I am going to send out my extra engine to delaughter next week for a go thru and I have the original motor for the sled (75 433) that i am going to put back in for the summer and do some grass dragging. I would like to know where i should be at gear wise to get me close. I was thinking around 18-31 ??? I have lots of engine combo's to try. For carbs i have mikuni 38's, 40's and 44's but i would think the 44's would be over kill. I have a set of gyt fuel injection that came with the sled but I need more than the manual to tackle those. I have a set of 76' srx 440 pipes, the stock gpx pipes, a set of aaen mod pipes, and a set of sr 433 pipes . I was thinking of using the 40's with the 76 srx pipes, any thoughts? Thanks in advance guys and any tips like clutching and sutch to get me started would be a big help. Its amazing how much stuff one can find in a barn. I bought 2 gpx's and 3 srx's along with a pile of parts that had been sitting for 20 years or so. As soon as i hit the lottery i will have the money to put them all back together.

First off you need to decide what level of racing you want to do. In drag racing, I believe your only options would be to leave it stock or or full blown mod wether it be for Mod Stock or Mod. Then you need to ask DRP these questions. More than likely you will use his pipes or the Aaens with at least the 44's. Let me know if you want to sell the SRX's. I would be interested in one in the condition found. Thanks.

i will be be using delaughter's pipes and what ever carbs he has me go with. I just wanted to get some ideas on putting this one together to get my feet wet so to speak. I have only raced on ice and that was 20 years ago. I am just getting back into this and was going to do this project for a learning curve before i put the sled together with all the delaughter stuff. I want to make most of my mistakes with tuning and chassis stuff before I screw up the amount of money i am going to spend with DRP. I really dont care what class i run in this summer, i just want to have fun and learn. SO anyway....If somebody has a combo with any of the stuff i have and want to share a tune up with me that would be great. If I can get my feet wet this summer I will be better prepared for next winter to get serious with the DRP stuff...thanks all

I thought you forgot where i lived........I have to go pick up the srx's yet. I got a real nice 76, a boned out 78 with a good tunnel and a fair pan with everything else in a box and a 79 that seems to be all there and pretty fair , motor needs gone thru but is all there. I plan on keeping the 76 and 78. When i get the 79 home i will send ya some pics. PM me your current email address pat and i will get with ya.
