Well, this Easter weekend was fairly good riding. Lots of ice on the lakes, and very hard pack snow. I had my GPS out and my buddies and I were doing some WOT runs. My 2003 Viper pulled 106MPH while a 2005 Ski-Doo 800HO ran 1MPH faster. My other buddies 2005 MXZ 600HO was far behind at 98MPH. My speedo was reading about 115MPH. Just goes to show... when guys talk about how fast they go, never take a speedo reading as accurate.
GPS or Radar is the way to go.
Times might have been a bit quicker on bare ice, but I was really impressed with my time compared to the other guys. JBTW, My Viper takes the 800HO in the 1/4 mile every time. Yamaha has done a great job with this Viper.

Yep,the viper is underated.A lot of people think a viper is slow due to its 125sh h.p. rating, but it really can pull a decent top speed. My 04 viper would run with my buddies 02 mxz 800 all day.The race was won by whoever took the holeshot.

No mods to my Viper at all.
I run 96 studs up the middle in a V pattern. Stock track as well.
Run Interceptor oil and Irradium plugs. 91 octane gas from Petro Canada.
