I have some questions and I need advice ASAP!

1. I am wondering if anyone could tell me how many km's I can put on a 2002 Yamaha Viper 700 before it needs a rebuild.

2. How much on average would it be for the rebuild for this.

3. Is it a good deal if it has 11,000 km's for $2500. Everything else is in really good condition?

Thanks a lot!

mine hase 21,113 km's on it and the onlything i hade a preob with was the stator whent on it thats it replaced a few water pump seals but that is comon did a compretion test and there all up to spec run good oil and good gas it will last for ever

just thinkin out loud here... 11000kms = 6800miles

I talked to my dealer before I bought my 02 Viper, he says he's seen the newer triples in upwards of 10000miles (16000kms) still running well. I'd do a compression test on it, see how close to spec the pressure is.

My sled has 5300miles (8500kms) on it, mostly put on around Tug Hill, bone stock, still running well. Picked it up for $2000 two months back. I havent seen many Vipers go for any less than the 2000-2500 range, but I imagine there is going to be some more folks looking to get out of the sport in the months to come...

12000 km on mine, perfecting running. really good compression on all heads still too!
and it really depends on how you maintain this machine, clean PVS, clean the clutch, fogging every summer, keep everything clean, and in nice order, and you can get wicked KMS out of these machines!
I doubt you would have to do a rebuild any time soon though.

I got mine and mine is an ER, for 3000, and its an 04, so its not a horrable deal, but mine was from a dealer, and he said it only had like 4000 KMS when it was around 4000 MILES, so he gave us some cash back! PSH ski-doo dealers!
