water pump mech seal

was taking the water pump mech. seal out and it split in two. the back part of the seal is stuck in the block and cant seem to remove it( alum housing ) afraid to screw things up. any idea's on how to remove this. sled is a viper 2002.

you need to either puncture it with a screwdriver or something of the sort or get it with a little hook, be very careful not to scratch up the seat.

here is the situation i'am in. so puncture a hole in the bottom of the mech seal housing then use a set of pics to pry it out? man i'am getting nervous. what about the oil seal behind it?
