I found this for $3000 or offer just 4 miles from where I live. I've had three 5.0 Mustangs in my day, an 87 LX hatchback, an 86 GT hatchback, and an 87 5.0 notchback, all 5-speeds. I just couldn't pass this one up. Just under 47000 original miles. It's an AOD with a shift kit, which kind of sucks, but for the $, I couldn't go wrong. Got it for $2500 cash from an old farmer. Has a shift kit, long tube headers, X-pipe, and 2 1/2" stainless after cat exhaust. The rims are pretty gay, but they will be changed soon.
Hope you all like the pics...

The wheels look like Centerlines. Before Weldwheels took over, these were the wheels of choice. I've got a set on my Cuda. Unless they're knock offs... dated perhaps, but not gay, IMHO. Enjoy your toy.

I have had a couple Fox body 5.0 's myself. An 87 hatch (many bolt ons) and until last Fall, a 92 silver LX vert with white factory leather (pretty rare-leftover from the 7up special edition) that was nearly stock.
Both were AOD, don't rule it to be slow merely due to the AOD. throw a turbo or a SC on it and laugh at the t5 guys when the break trying to keep up with you.
how is the body? that car was repainted, since it was an 87, all lx's had the black bumper strip all the way around.
the only thing that stands out about the wheels is that the front tire is tiny, looks to be liek a drag skinny.
Throw a set of 17's on it, lower it with lowering springs and she will look really nice.
I would get another mustang, but I think after I get my house soon, I will buy a used 97-03 E39 BMW 540i 6 speed, or preferably the 2000-03 M5. The extra doors make it feel a little more practical to me.....

I'm not a Ford guy by any means but nice that 'Stang looks to be in nice shape the only thing I'd change is the wheels.

yeah, those fox bodies are only going up in price now. Heck, it's been 15 years since the last ones were made.
There are very few fun and easy to work on cars anymore. these things are super cheap to get to be a very fast car as well.
If I can't find the perfect 97-03 BMW 540/6spd or 00-03 m5, I will probably end up buying a fox 4 stang, like a 94-95 gt or cobra, a 96-98 cobra, or 99+ gt
these cars are so much fun. this will be the first year I have not owned a fox body since 1990.
