A FRIEND OF MINE IS IN ICE OVAL RACING AND I WAS TELLING HIM ABOUT HOW GREAT THIS SITE IS AND HE WANTED ME TO ASK SOME OF YOU ENGINE GURU'S A COUPLE QUESTION S ON HIS SLED. HERE GOES.....
WORKING WITH A 1977 SKI DOO TNT 340 FREE AIR. IT HAS A SINGLE CARB ON IT NOW AND HE WANTS TO PUT DUAL CARBS ON BUT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SIZE TO GO WITH. HERE ARE THE ENG BASICS
339.2 CC
59.5MM BORE
61MM STROKE
11:1 RATIO
THE ENGINE IS GETTING BORED OUT TO .040
HEAD GASKET SQUISH TO .004
STOCK SINGLE TUNED EXHAUST
JUGS ARE DRILLED AND TAPPED
USEING COMET 102 CLUTCH WITH ENGAGEMENT AT 4500RPM
RIGHT NOW IT HAS A MIKUNI VM34-118 SINGLE CARB
WANT DUAL CARB AND HAS TO BE THE MIKUNI VM ROUND SLIDES
ALSO HE WANTS A PRIMER AND NO CHOKE.
HE DOES VINTAGE RACING DOWN IN EAGLE RIVER WISCONSIN.
