I have 8200 miles on my 03 viper. I did the four bearings including drive bearings jackshaft bearing and the one in the chaincase, since they are worn out at 6000 miles. I also replaced one power valve cable, since the valve got stuck and kinked it. That's it, these motors are easily 10,000 mile motors, if you take care of them.

You are right, I have 11,450 miles on my 2000 SRX. I've run Amsoil injection oil since day 1, the sled still runs excellent. Not a single problem with the engine or the sled. I did make the mistake of not cleaning the power valves during the 11,450 miles and found one valve was stuck and the cable pulled through but the other 2 were working fine. All three valves were tough to remove. Although I do not like to fix something that is not broken but several knowledgeable members of this site have convinced me to diassemble the engine right down to the crankcase halves and all to replace the seals, piston rings and everything else the engine will need upon inspection. I like the SRX so much I just bought a second one!!!!
