I wanted to pass along some good news about a company... I had the misfortune of having the rear axle fall off my '97 Sled Bed trailer a few months ago. No damage to trailer or others (I was going about 72 at the time) and in fact, didn't even know it happened. I blame the potholes and crappy Illinois roads, but I also came to find that Newman's mfg (maker of the sled bed) changed the design right after my trailer was made to combat a galvanic corrosion issue. I had a very pleasant discussion with the president of the company, and he was nice enough to send me the retrofit kit (for the corrosion issue) and 4 new rims and tires (only needed 2 but I'll take them) for my hassles. I still need to get 2 axles, but I am VERY happy with the support that Newman's Mfg gave me. Many times people get the cold shoulder when the warantee is over, but 11 years later they helped me out. My trailer is otherwise still like new and I guess you get what you pay for.

That's great news.

Our Roll In pier is made by Newman's and is very nice, and light with aluminum construction and plastic top pieces. Speaking of that, it is time to put it back in soon:)
