Is there any way to mechanically correct one's speedometer for 9 tooth drivers vs 8 tooth...Just planning on installing 9 tooth on my 02MM and don't want to have to multiply by 1.125 every time I look at the speedometer...

I used to tell guys my speedo read 90 mph when I passed em while theirs said 100! Really drove em nutz!!!!Try taking 1 or 2 teeth out of the speedo drive.

thanks Turk...Since I'm going to 9 tooth drivers, I suppose I'll need to change the rivits on my weights....Any suggestions as to what I need to do...

02MM700
stock primary spring
8CR weights with 3.6/3.1 gram in heel/tip respectively
51/43 helix with stock spring on secondary@70 degrees
23/39 gears
stock 141 inch track cut to 1.25"
OEM belt
..ride primarily groomed and ungroomed flat land trails...
any help is appreciated...

I have a 9tooth speedo adapter bought from a venture to put on my mmax when i ran 9t drivers, since went back to 8's, it's for sale..........cheap.

what about going the other way...I went to an 8 tooth driver from 9?
