im making kinda of a go cart type lawnmower out of an old dynomark it has a 5 speed trany and a 18 horse opposed twin brigs in it. im bored now that the snow is gone and where i play paintball is still swampy. i changed the pulleys tonight. it had a like 3 inch up front and a 7 or 8 inch in the back. i went to a 6 or 6.5 up front and a 3.5 in the rear. not sure exact measurements will have to measure next time im working on it. i want to get around 40 mph or so out of it if possible. im also going to separate the clutch and break so i can clutch when i shift. i might also bypass the throttle and go with a foot pedal not sure yet if there's room. im also planing on putting a pivoting arm with some shocks for each front tire. i have access to welder, milling machine, lathe and plasma.
i was just wondering if u guys had any ideas or tips for me. or if anyone has any exspirance with making more power out of a lawnmower motor.

had the baby doin about 25 today at half throttle. i have to figure out a way to by pass the governor whit a pedal when i wanna go fast but still idle down nice to where i set it with the hand lever.
Any one have any ideas?
