Keihin carb on a Honda 300 TRX
My cousin asked me to help him get the stutter out of his 300 Honda 4 wheeler the other day so from process of elimination we took the carb off cleaned it and put it back on.Now we can't get it to start and we tried almost everything from priming it down the spark plug hole to re cleaning the carb in case we missed some dirt.About the only thing we didn't do was use ether or tow it.Is there some trick to working on Keihins that makes them finicky when cleaning them?We have fire and comp and nothing got unplugged so I'm reaching for help here.

Ya, I had a hell of a time with my sons' Inviter having a hesitation-- I think the keihin carbs are junk. Ended up putting a larger pilot jet in and it helped.

don't they have some goofy tors like device on the carb that cuts the ignition if its not right? Can remember if it was on a Honda or the scrambler that I read about it.

Yep, mine has a tors setup, but easy to unplug when troubleshooting

I don't recall any tors like connection on this one but it sure is a aggravating SOB.I haven't had another crack at it since last weekend to try and sort it out I was hoping to get some insight as to what I may be overlooking.

Are you SURE you have spark? If you did miss a connection somewhere or something you might not have spark now, in which case it won't matter how much fuel you give it because it still won't start.

Well I am taking my cousins word here but he held the plug against the head as I rolled the engine over and he said there is spark and I thought I could see it too from where I was standing over the frame.I'd like to take another stab at it sometime soon to verify the little things like spark and connections as we both were working on it simultaneously so I'm not 100% sure what he unplugged other than gas lines.
