89 exciter upgrades

I have an 89 exciter given to me by my dad so i can learn to ride again. I do plan on buying another sled but for now i want to upgrade this one. Right now i am looking for a set of plastic front skiis and some way to lighhten the rear suspention???. I have a new 1.5 inch track off an rmk goiing under it at the moment. So any advise on what else to do and where i might get the parts would be appreciated. Thanks

I'd put a Polaris Xtra-10 rear skid under it.

Are you planning on keeping the sled? If not I would get a set of skis that you would want for your next sled. I do not think that any current new skis will fit the Exciter. You will have to modify them to fit.

ok..update. I have found a set of plastic ski's from a v-max but now I need to find smaller diameter drive lugs for the 1.5" track (it's hitting on the front heat exchanger).
