I know there has been alot of posts concerning studding the 03 RX-1. But I really need some help here! I am installing a new Camoplast 1" lug fully clipped track on my 03 RX-1.And my questions are as follows;
(1) What is the longest stud I can run without a problem?
(2) Is the 1.375 megabites too long?
(3) What is the maximum length that I want the stud to be sticking up beyond the 1" lug?And or least amount of penetration?
I have tried the 1.375's but they look way too long!
And the 1.075's megabites only give me about 1/4 of an inch penetration.
(BTW the track is not installed as of yet.I'm finding it much easier to stud the track before installing it.)I hope all of this is not too confusing!
Thanks
P.S. 1.175's perhaps?

1/4" to 3/8" past the lug is pretty save. What I did is added a 1/8" alum bar on mine so you can run more past the lug.
