I am really starting to get frustrated and pissed off at the why us Canadians are screwed when we purchase parts from the US.And I thought FedEx was better then UPS...But BS....I guess our country doesn't want us to go shopping across the border,they want all the friggin money..taxes and want to control us.
I can't believe that last Feb/08 I orderd small parts from a company that totalled amount came to $99.29.I was charged $46.37 for the shipping charges and I am thinking that was everything included for the 2 kg package shipped thru FedEx.
Today I get a bill from FedEx that they now want an additional $48.08 for brokerage fees and taxes.Are they NUTS.They already got $46.37 out of me and now this.Now that puts my price for everything at $193.75..almost double.The parts I ordered ..I might as well have gone to my Yamaha Dealer and it would of been cheaper.As usual we Canadians are being screwed again.What the hell is wrong with this world.Why are we getting ripped off so much for buyings small parts.
I from now on will never ever deal with a company that uses UPS or FedEx for shipping.It has to be with USPS or I don't even bother to order things.The best service I ever got from someone was through RichMotorsports,he is very good to us Canadians and I for one will continue using them for ordering my parts.If it all had to be this way that we were being charged thru the nose either by the Dealer or by the delivery companies,I simply would just give up and screw owning any sleds,because maintaining them would be outragous.Again I repeat.this world sucks.It's all about the big Corporations and no one cares about the little guy.I for one will not be taken in anymore,thank goodness I found Rich and he is one hell of a guy to deal with and he cares about us.Rich thanks for your help for me when I need something,you come through every time.I will be giving you more of my bussiness.

WHAT? That is crazy! I don't blame you a bit. R U sure they are charging that amount on top of the shipping amount. When the hell did FED EX become a broker? I'd tell em to stuff it, if there's even a choice at this point.
I agree though, things are getting way out of control. Costs of everything are rising, what seems like at an exponantial rate while we still earn the same meager dukets. How the hell is the avg. joe going to survive, let alone have any toys or fun extra curricular activities? Gas just went up.......AGAIN!!!!!! and doesn't appear it's going to stop any time soon. Shit, I think I'm going to start selling organs soon. Anyone need a kidney? going once!

on all ur small orders from the states its best 2 use the post office much cheaper and ask the sender on the other end 2 mark the pakage as a gift and u wont get all the extra charges at the border and most of it is taxes and handling charges they call it. that has worked well for me. must remember as they keep jacking the price of fuel up so are our shipping costs going up allso. Al

Same problem here, But I know from experience not to use UPS. I am trying to order a KORE hp kit for my truck. I am waiting to hear if they will ship it as 2 packages though USPS. If not then I need to get ahold of people I know in the US to have it drop shipped to them...................SRXtreme

I got 2 words for them Corporates...but this in chinese...fuk u!!!They just don't care about us little guys.They keep on getting greedier.I would like the shipping price given to me ahead of time with all fees included before they can charge me extra after a delivery.Otherwise they just keep on shafting the people.

just had a radiator and cdi in one shipment float boal ajusting screws in another, and 2 sets of carbides in a nother all sent buy mail and all marked as gift had no extra charges and sent many parts threw the border now on something like ups i paid 60 doallrs on 79 lbs delivered 2 my drive way. its all in the way its shipped. not all of them they will let go as gifts but what i find is the smaller and light parcels not 2 heavy they wont bother. my 2 cents Al

Well I had a 2 cyl. snowmobile engine shipped from just outside of Seattle Washington by FedEx.the price from FedEx was $180.00 shipped to me.Now this wasn't a new engine,it was a rebuilt one for my 76 Artic Cat Pantera that I am restoring.I hope that they don't send me an additional invoice for that.I will then put in a complaint with them for sure.Time will tell.

My parents camp out in Minn. all summer long and they set up in mailing account out there. I use their mailing addresss in the summer .Saves alot of broker fees and other over charges.
A friend of mine many years ago order a body kit for his car.It cost him over 4k for the kit. The custom agents see this large package and went on to investigate it (seized) . Well they investigated it for over a year and then in their infinite wisdom destroyed it. Nice guys,eh?

Use the postal servivce, they do not have brokerage fees like fedex,ups etc.Make sure the parts are marked "used snowmobile parts"or a gift and the country of origin is the US and not Japan or they will nail you with an import tax. I got nailed for import tax on a used crank when the sender marked down "made in Japan" on the paperwork.

Is FedEx now charging extras on the deliveries.Talked to the girl at the Post Office here in the town south of me.She said she to had had extra invoiceing from FedEx and never did before.Her husband brings in a lot of equipment from the States for his bussiness to and saves alot.Things like Forklifts,Cube Van,trailers..etc.
