Usually there are tons of people online on HCS but lately I only see 30-40 users. I know they have new owners and there was some people not happy about it but I haven't noticed anything different other than alot less posting. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard whats up?

Tom

I won't be back since they have a head line for a class suit for rhino roll overs right at the top of the page. Maxdlx

Nothing is up except for the fact that it's summer.
I know the forums activity declines in the summer but they are WAY down even in the General Forum. Oh well.....I guess it just means more time to spend here!

There have been a few threads on there about people who are planning to leave HCS, but I didnt take the time to actually read what the deal was.
I typically dont read much of whats in the general section of HCS because 99% of it is a bunch of 30 and 40 year olds acting like a bunch of little kids. I get enough of that at work, so I dont much care to deal with it on an internet forum too.
I dont really have much time for HCS anymore. That site is too anti-Toyota and anti-Yamaha for my liking. It seems like all they do on that site is rip on Toyota and Yamaha and it gets really old after a while.
I do still going on there because in the brand-specific forums that site has a HUGE knowledgebase, but when it comes to the general forum you have to check your feelings at the door, because if you dont they are going to get hurt sooner or later. Ive been a member of that site since '04, so Im used to it and I love to get the Toyota haters all stirred up. With Toyota's recent success in NASCAR, that hasnt been all that difficult. ;)!

That is very true. The General forum is no place for the weak of heart. I just like to stir the pot, I have nothing against any brand. Ride/drive what you like. There are alot of people that know what they're talking about and there's alot that like to think they do. I guess that's anywhere though.

HCS, Amsnow, DooTalk, they are all about the same - too many ego's!!! - it is not like snowmobiling is life or death or an arm or leg - it is just snowmobiling - nimrods take it too serious - it should be about hanging out with people you enjoy that all enjoy the same thing - riding snowmobile - nothing more, nothing less - the rest is all just Psychobabble!!! - surround yourself with people who feel the same way and just go out and ride!! - you will be alot happier for it!! ;)!

I like to stir the pot too. I kind of always found it amusing that whenever the subject turns to Toyota or Yamaha all they can ever think of to say is, "Yamaha sucks" or "Toyota sucks". Its like, wow, what are we in 3rd grade again? :dunno: Thats why I really respect this site so much. We all disagree from time to time, but we always treat each other with a certain level of respect.
I agree with you about how some know their stuff and others dont. Ive learned that no matter which forum it is, only about 10% of the people on there know what they are talking about and the rest just like to act like they know what they are talking about. The tricky part is weeding out the good advice from the BS. Funny thing about the internet, anyone can be an instant expert...

I mostly just read some of the BS on the general forum, some of it is pretty funny. There are alot of "kids" on there that are only there to stir the pot but it doesn't take long to figure out who they are and then just avoid them.
