What is the best way to remove paint from a srx tunnel ? and whats the best polish and procedure to get that polished alum look ,Thanks for any help.

i take the seat off & the back plastic piece.and rub paint remover on with a paint brush..let it sit untilit all bubbles off & rinse it right off.ialways used mothers aluminum polish with the old ladies elbow grease. i also masked off the strobe decals on theside & tired to stay away from it.turned out awesome.here is a picture of how i left the decals & i added another to show the newer aluminum looking trailing arms.

A shop would have a good quality paint remover like Marhyde and lay the panel flat.Let it bubble up and remove paint with a plastic aplacator on a drop sheet.Wash and wipe with metal prep after, even srcub the metal with a fine scotch bright pad to remove crap if needed.Than a corse grit compond with a foam wheel on a polisher working there way up to a fine grit and a polishing pad.Around 4 hrs work if the tunnel is off.Than have them clear coat it and you wont have to polish it again.
