I need some help guys. I have a helix that apparently came of a 2003 RX-1.
It is cut not forged like the stock helix and is stamped RXMS3.
Would anyone have any info on this part like the manufacturer or possible helix angle.
Thanks,
DHSRX

measure it with a protractor and a flat surface.
just think about it, its like measuring the angle of a triangle, just cut the measuring surface of the protractor down so you are measuring only a 10MM section.
its not real precise but will be alot mor accurate than anything anyone will tell you.
every helix i have ive measured and EVERY ONE with the exception of dalton and micro belmot is WAY OFF from what there advertised to be.

Does any one have any information on Maxximum Performance helixes and or clutch kits.
They are no longer in business but maybe a catalogue or chart might provide some insight as to the angle on this RXMS3 helix.

looks to shiny to be a yamaha RX1 helix
they are 51/43 and the marking on a RX1 helix should be 8BVFA

From the 2005 Maxximum Cat. Not sure how that's going to help you though.

I recently ran my SRX in the NBSSR 2000' top speed runs with and without this unknown helix. With the stock helix 47 it ran a 112MPH and a 102MPH (over reving at 9100) with the unknown helix (RXMS3)
This helix was not as good for top speed but it really hooks up on the bottom end and trail riding.

the helix probably have a finish lower then 43 because of the RPM gains...does not mean the helix wont work...but means you have to clutch the primary for RPM's.
To run a 51/43 you would need to add weight to the primary to keep the revs in the power band...you stock helix is 47...when you lower this number your RPM will rise.
Its not the helix that is not good for top end...it is that helix does not work with your primary clutch set up....I like a steep angle start to get me off the line fast and then as I slow down the shift as i get higher in RPM.
