Has anyone got a set of ceramic brake pads on their daily driver?I'm considering putting a set on my Silverado e/c to help get the brake power I'm looking for but don't know if it will be a step in the right direction or not.Hawk have a set of pads rated for light trucks that do alot of towing and a set of ceramics and of all things the ceramics are cheaper.Anyone have any experience with ceramic pads?

I sell ACDelco Ceramics at work every day, the ceramics hold up much better than semi metallics do and the for 5-10 extra bucks its worth it. But like anything else the purchase is really up to you. I tell walk in customers, yea you can go to Pepboys, Murrays, Autozone, etc and get replacement pads for 20 bucks but my bet is youll be complaining of sqeeks or pulsasion within the first 10-15000 miles.

have you tried a set of drilled/vented rotors? i know that made a huge difference on mine in stopping power.
