Ambiant Digital Temp Guage

Has anyone added one of these to their sled? I was considering this one:

We always discuss the temps when riding and I was thinking it would be nice to have build right in to the dash. I'd be putting it on an 02 SRX.

I cheaped out, see link below. Got it as gift for being best man at my buddies wedding. Does double duty on the key chain for the sled, golf bad in the summer.

Interesting.. that's not much cheaper. The best I have found for this guage is 63.00 before shipping.

lol, never looked at the price as mine was a gift. At least you'd save the time and effort of installation. Few holes in the dash too. Anyway, was just an idea for ya!

I actually added one to my vector last year. After much deliberation I finally desided to mount the sensor jst below the handle bars. I thought it would be a good place, out of the way, and proteced from the wind. unfortunatly there seems to be alot of warm air that comes up from the hood causing the sensor to read wrong, especially when going slow, at speed it seems more acurate but still wrong. Other then that it pretty cool.

Thanks for the feedback. I went ahead and bought the guage, but it hasn't shown up yet. I would have thought the handlebars would have worked for the location of the sensor. I'll have to see what I can come up with.
