he geared it down 1 tooth for more low end.i would go even farther down.20 or 21 or even a 38-39 bottom gear.

srxbully, how come you gear it down so far? they seem to me to have enough low end pull out of the hole stock.

unless you spend alot of time on the lake you dont need that top end.
well i like top end so i'll try it this way to see how it works. w/out knowing the extent of the engine mods and knowing im not going top race it (like my friend wants) i'll try trailing it first. thanks again.

if you like top end, i would throw the stock 23t sprocket back in and leave it. your sled is pulling more ponies now and can still rocket out of the hole with the 23t gear. put it back in.

Im running 24/38 in mine

23/38 works very well for the trail and 23/37 works if you do a ton of top-end wide open throttle riding.
just remember, 98/99 SRX had 15 wide gears and chain. 00-02 had 13 wide hyvo so be sure to get proper gears/chain if your going to change the ratio.
Im running a 24/40 which is a 1.66 same as the 23/38 but what I run makes the chain run a little staighter.
