Hey guys, I know not a lot of guys are around in the summer, but I was wondering if there is any benefit to having the stock pipes on a SRX coated. Just wondering thats all, I've seen some really nice looking ones, just wondering if there is a gain from it on the stock pipes??

Thanks

I run an '05 Viper with a single Bender 4X4 Pipe and SLP can. I got a noticeable, yet small, power boost after coating the pipe, can, and manifold. I also stopped getting the overheat light on warm days and it looks great (Sterling coating). I sent it all to Jet-Hot for a 1 week turn-around. Well worth it in my book! ;)!

I got my pipes coated on the srx, and have yet to run the sled, considering i just got them done, but they look great, i went to classic coating. When you ceramic coat the pipes, in insulates the pipes, Two strokes love hot pipes and cold engines, so the hotter you keep the pipes the better, also the ceramic coating will not chip if properly broken in, and the pipes will not rust as long as the ceramic is in tact. So you don't have to worry too much about the snow coming through the vents and hitting the pipes.
