It only has a low note horn and its stock location is mounted on the pass. side front frame rail. If you need to replace it this is the GM/ACDelco Org. Part#12368062(List $64.97US) which superceeds to Part# 89046916(List $61.03US). If you have access to a fax machine I can fax you a picture.

As for replacing it with another POS GM one, no thanks especially at that price. Did a little google search and it appears GM missed the boat on this one. AM one cost me $40 cdn and I'm certain it will last longer. I've never had a horn fail in any of the cars I've owned before. Bad design!

Seems everyone is an engineer these days. Gets good info on the horn's location than slams the brand. I'm not saying you're wrong, just presumptuous.
Proper diagnosis would have you checking power to the horn before condenming it which you obviously haven't done if you don't know where it's located.
Unless you're the original owner (something I wouldn't admit to) you don't know that the horn hadn't been submersed thus reducing it's useful life.

Holly cow, you say one bad thing about GM and everyone gets upset. First off, I thanked ExpertX for the location info and it was very much appreciated. It was also nice to see that GM may have addressed the issue as there is a new part number. That said, at $65 US I'm not willing to see if its better or not when I can get an AM one for $40 CDN.
Also, if you read carefully you will notice I bashed GM's design on THIS horn in THIS model of car, not GM as a whole and not all models. Try doing a google search on "sunfire horn location". When you are done reading the 127,000 hits you can let me know if you think there was a design flaw or not. I personally read 3 entire pages of hits before I made any comments on it. I am not a GM hater.
No I'm not the original owner of the car, but it has been in the family for most of its life and I can assure you it was never been "submersed" (WTF??? I don't live in New Orleans).
Proper diagnosis, lol. No you are right I have not diagnosed it yet. How do I check power at the horn if I can't find it? You want me to start at the steering wheel where the air bag is and trace back all the way to the horn? No thanks! I'd rather start with the fuse, then confirm the horn works (direct wire), then trace back to the relay, then the main switch at the wheel (which I'd probably have someone else do).
Anyway, sometimes the easiest way to diagnose something is to know the history behind the problem, which I didn't post because I just wanted to know where the dam thing was. Horn stopped working the day after my wife and I came back from a hockey game. It was a heated "Battle of Ontario" which had the Toronto Maple Leafs (my team) loose to the Ottawa Senators (her team) and she honked the fn horn (to get me going) for about an hour as we made our way from the parking lot. Needless to say, I'm pretty sure it over heated and fried it's self, so I'll start by checking it work when wired directly to 12v.

I'm a design engineer for a hitch manufacturer - you wouldn't believe how many people call and say "that is a stupid design" - we even had a guy send us drawings of how a hitch should have been designed!! crazy!!!

Yamerdown how dare you down talk GM for ALL there high quality parts!!!!!!!LOL.........Yea right.......If GM's engineers were perfect Id either be out of a job or I wouldnt make a pay check. If you want to complain about a badly engineered part talk about GM's Inter. Steering Shafts, there replaced on there most popular models on a everyday basis.
