Plenty of reading on "squish" in this thread
.080 seems like a pretty wide gap from my readings, weather it a stock SRX 98-99 or 00-02. But as Matt said Im no engine builder either, Im just basing it off of reading info.

Thanks Matt, thats what I was thinking. I think the 77 433 motors ran a little stronger than the 79 because of the cylinders and de-tuned the later models unlike the SRX where they raised the ports on the 00-02 SRX's but I dont know exactly how much.
