Blue,
When are you going to Petosky? The Mrs and I will be there Thursday and Friday this week to play a little golf before heading down to Traverse City Saturday morning.
What kind of work do you do on boats? What kind of boat are you working on?
I really can't offer any suggestions on where to go for dinner but you should have no problem finding something different. Petosky, Harbor Springs and Charlevoix are all nice tourist stops and should offer lots of dinning options.
Drop me a line, we might be able to meet for dinner if not at least a couple of pops.

There are some fun trails right behind that airport, not that it matters right now. When you leave the airport you will cross over the trail that goes to mackinaw city, very flat, smooth and fast (in the winter... that area usually has 3 or more feet of snow by the end of December). Try Teddy Griffins, on Pleasantview road just south of Harbor. Good bar and food. Better yet, go north on M-119 to Cross Village to Leggs Inn, a very cool Polish restaurant and Bar. They have Co-op Girls from the Old Country in to work for the summer. Its worth the 10 mile drive for sure!

Glad to help. I love that area of the state. I have a place just east of the airport. We spend every weekend possible there. If I could find a job in Petoskey I would leave Detroit area in a heartbeat.

Some more obscure trivia, that area between Harbor and Cross had one of the largest native american communities in the country before white settlement. They have a brand new Casino on the south side of Petoskey. I guess we took from them so now they take from us...

Sorry I never got ahold of you Blue.
We has some stuff come up and never made the Trip to Petoski. I only got as far as Traverse City.
Hinkley build some great boats. I've had the chance to crew on Hinkleys a couple of times and loved them.
