Gustav Heading to Gulf Coast

They have.

Over 1 million people have left the gulf Coast or are on the highway right now.

I think FEMA and local agencies have it together this time.

I wander if the pumping stations will handle the volume of water that could topple the levies and at least save most structures from getting flooded out.I think hey are really prepared this time, not like last time when the power went out and the pumping station was useless. They apparently can pump out a 1/2" of water per hour in the city...that is pretty good pumping ability if you ask me.All roads that come into the city will be reversed for traffic plus the lanes north out of the city. This will speed up travel out of the city.Their levies are about 15 feet, but the surge is calling for 15 to 20 feet.Should be interesting how this will play out.All eyes will be watching I am sure.:dunno:

Lets all blame THY GLOBAL WARMING LOL

Im on the MISS GUlf Coast but I think the most sever part of it will be more west than where Katrina did. The eye of Katrina came through about 10 miles west of my house.

Mississipii had extensive damge from Katrina but New Orleans got all the attention from the media beacuse well its "New Orleans" and the levees broke.

i think we will see obama down there bagging sand for the camera's what do you think!

Mccain will be right next to him.

Bush will be firing up the grill in his back yard.

Well i just hope everyone got out safe and the people who stayed are allright. A few bikini shots would be good too.
