I now have 26 hyd units , about 18 in frames and
maybe 10 can run (some with a fight).
Wondering how many were built of the 72, 73 EW643
74 TW ,74, 75 TL433 and 76, 77 PR440 ....
Mills has 1 , Monty has a few , anymore on this site ??
I have tried from the Canadian side but it seems the info
would be in archive on micro fiche ..at Yamaha
.

Hi Mark and Ryan.....
Mark ...I think I know you from another site and still remember
your looking for a 73 EW , (if I,m correct..)
Ryan...You would think after finding 26 and (incl yours)
that there couldn't be many more , but I found another 75 TL
last week and "forced" it into the barn.
There is a pattern in the sn's but don't believe they were
done in sequence for 1 model at a time .unless there were
20 thousand of some models.
Good to here from both of you.

THe 72 EW 643 is my father's and is number 000108...maybe the 8th EW 643 made?? Not sure on the 73 as i'm yet to pick it up....they did carry over numbers alot on sleds that use similar engines...my TW 433 is in the 50-60 thousand range and i'm sure they didn't make 8000 TL's....would be interesting to get some kind of registry going...

Hi Richard ,,,,I had a look in my old emails from
you for a picture of your sled , but didn't find it.
...Mark...If I recall , Richard was interested in selling
this 73 a few years ago ?? Are you still looking for a
match for the 73 GP643 ???..
Convince your wife to go on a "fall colour tour" up
to Montreal area if Richard will sell ??
....The 74 TL has always been a bit confusing to me.
They used a rear fuel tank, bogie sled for the brouchere
pictures and it is also shown in the online Yamaha parts
catalog ...but none have surfaced , yet...Maybe never
made production ???,,,Could have a used a diff prefix...
..I have always wondered if diff models ran same serials
with diff prefixs in the same years...I was hoping Yamigod3;16 might
have had that answer...
Thanks everybody for responding

Hi Ron, I have 2 or 3 hydrolic transm. from other sleds that were parted and I would gladdly give to you if you just pick them up. One from a TL and 2 from Prestige. Could bring them to Expo-Sno swap meet this week-end in St-Eustache near Montreal.
Let me know

Yes Ron, still hoping to find one down here in NY. With almost 40 sleds I've learned to be patient.
Tony's a SRX guy, he doesn't know much about the Hydro sleds.

Mark...I tried to build a 73 EW from a 73 EW433 , got it
stripped down to the point of no return and discovered the
bulkhead was reinforced and drilled to a diff mounting pattern..
The newer machines with 433 seem to just swap amongest
the GP models , frame for frame. One of the sleds has a 75 TL
unit in a 77 GP440 chassis..
.
Hi Richard....I always seem to be working when that show
is on ..Some of the Ont guys from acscc go to it , but
have not seen anybody post there yet...
.
I'm along way from bi-lingual but would like to go east past the
border sometime . I'm sort of looking for a Yam VK540 workhorse
to beat up instead of my old sleds . Groomer , trail clearing etc.
Got one ??

hello everyone! new to the site and vintage sleds. I just picked up two new sleds to add to my other two. a 73' EW643B with 1393 miles # 852-010674 runs great only thing wrong is some tears in the seat but not bad! and a 73' ( i think) EL433B, 1922 miles 843-050117 wont start its having carb issues (was thinking of swapping the carb off my 79' Enticer 340) and needs a new seat cover. think i got a steal on them. both for $400!!!
My other sleds are: 79' Enticer 340 3468 miles #8J4-022199. not running have some parts to buy and some in a box to install, 76' GS340 2261 miles #8E3-064519 got it running but having carb issues, and from what ive read alot of others are havin issues with the Keihin carb when i do get it started it goes for about 60 feet bogs down and dies, thinking of upgrading it! any info on the EL433B would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi guys I picked up a TW433 late summer. Here's some pic's both as it came and where its at now. Bigest hold up right now is looking for the vent on the hood to the left of headlight, and a windschield. Skis and bogies will go off to be powder coated this weekend
