I've seen posts where people mention baking paint in there ovens at home. How is that done and does it work? What temp & how long?

I think the posts you're reading are referring to the high temp paint for exhaust parts. They just wait for the paint to dry, stick it in the oven as high as it will go to cure the paint before installing so it doesn't scratch during installation.

My guess is you're thinking about 'powder coating'. Google it, you'll know more than you want. There is a guy on the forum that will do your stuff for a price.
